Vigilant is a background monitoring software for computers that uses AI to detect inappropriate content on screen — without disrupting normal device use. Designed for families, spouses, and individuals seeking accountability, Vigilant promotes healthier habits through real-time screen monitoring and private partner notifications.

How it Works

Vigilant automatically monitors your device for inappropriate content in two ways:
• In your browser using our extension, which analyzes images as pages load
• On your screen using secure screenshot scans every 20, 30, or 60 seconds, depending on your settings

This redundant system ensures monitoring is always happening.

Our AI reviews what’s visible and classifies it into three categories:

Porn — sexually explicit imagery or acts
Sexy — revealing or suggestive content
Hentai — animated or illustrated sexual content

If something concerning is found, Vigilant uses facial recognition to identify who was using the device. A blurred, redacted screenshot of the moment is then securely uploaded to your private account.

At the same time, your chosen accountability partner receives an email or text alert so they can review the flagged event right away.

It’s designed to be simple, secure, and effective—giving parents and individuals peace of mind without invading privacy.

Customization Options

Detection Frequency: Every 20, 30, or 60 seconds and every page load with extension.
Sensitivity Settings: Choose which categories trigger alerts
User Alerts: Show or hide notifications to the user when something is detected
Facial Recognition: Identify who was using the device at the time (requires webcam)
Use browser extension and/or screenshots only.
Post-Detection Timeline: View six consecutive screenshots (optional)
